Our
Story

" The wicked flee when no man pursueth but the righteous are bold as a lion"- Proverbs 28:1

The Cold Case Squad was founded in 2024 by a group of private investigators and law enforcement detectives who were united in our desire to provide a voice to those who have been forgotten. Our goal is to provide free-of-cost investigative services to the families of victims who have never received justice. With our team of seasoned professionals, we work tirelessly on each case, using every tool at our disposal to uncover the truth. Our passion is to bring closure and answers to the victims' families. Our team handles cold case homicides, missing persons cases with suspected foul play, and unsolved sexual assaults.

Our Missions

Advocacy

Our Drug Homicide/Overdose Advocacy Task Force is comprised of our volunteer case analysts who provide a voice to the families of victims of overdoses. While laws continue to change in an effort to hold those responsible who provide someone with drugs that end up being fatal, or who knowingly fail to render aid during an overdose, many agencies continue to work these cases as simply overdoses/death investigations and not homicides. Our goal is to bring attention to these types of cases in the hopes that those responsible are brought to justice, or, closure can be brought to a family through changes in how these cases are handled by law enforcement.

Investigations Unit

The Investigations Unit is comprised of licensed Private Investigators and Case Analysts who review and investigate cold cases involving Unsolved Homicides and Missing Persons with suspected foul play. The Investigations Unit also comprises the two task forces dedicated to special areas of concern within the mission of The Cold Case Squad.

Missing & Murdered Indigenous Person Task Force

The MMIP Task Force is comprised of licensed Private Investigators and Case Analyst Volunteers who focus on cases involving American Indians. Through our partnership with the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons Oklahoma Chapter, we hope to provide services to families in Florida and Georgia who are seeking answers. Statistics show that approximately 1,500 American Indian and Alaska Native missing persons have been entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) throughout the U.S. and approximately 2,700 cases of Murder and Nonnegligent Homicide Offenses have been reported to the Federal Government’s Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program. In total estimates reveal there are approximately 4,200 missing and murdered cases that have gone unsolved. These investigations remain unsolved often due to a lack of investigative resources available to identify new information from witness testimony, re-examine new or retained material evidence, as well as reviewing fresh activities of suspects.

Community Outreach

The Community Outreach Team is comprised of volunteers who are the backbone of The Cold Case Squad. These dedicated volunteers help with fundraising, passing out flyers in the community on the Flyer Task Force, and Social Media Outreach. In addition these volunteers also help spread knowledge of case information to social media groups in an effort to generate new leads.
